HOW TO BAKE SALMON TO PERFECTION?

  • Prepare the Salmon: Begin by preheating your oven to 360°F (180°C). Gently pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture
  • Seasoning: Lightly brush the salmon with a bit of olive oil to prevent sticking and add flavor. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and your favorite herbs or spices for extra taste.
  • Marinating: Remember, salmon is delicate. Don’t marinate it for too long, especially with tangy marinades. Stick to 30 minutes to 1-hour max. Strong marinades? Think 15-30 minutes. This way, the flavors mingle, and your salmon stays perfect—neither mushy nor overcooked.
  • Baking Dish: Put the seasoned salmon fillets on a baking sheet with parchment paper or in a baking dish. Leave some room between each fillet so they cook evenly.
  • Even Thickness: If your salmon pieces are different thicknesses, you can fold the thinner parts under to make it more even. This helps it cook the same way all over.
  • Baking Time: Cook the salmon in the preheated oven for around 12 to 15 minutes per inch of thickness. Just measure the thickest part of the fillet to know how long to cook.
  • Checking if It’s Done: Salmon is just right when it can be easily broken into flakes with a fork, and the center is slightly see-through. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become dry.
  • Resting: After baking, take the salmon out of the oven and give it a minute or two before serving. This lets the juices spread around, making the salmon nice and moist when you enjoy it.
  • Serving: Serve your perfectly baked salmon with your favorite side dishes, sauces, or toppings. Lemon wedges, fresh herbs, or a little balsamic glaze can make it even tastier.

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Arrange the salmon fillet on a baking tray, then carefully slide it into the oven. Allow it to bake for 10 to 15 minutes, adjusting the time based on the thickness of your fillets.
  • Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

  • In order to balance citrus moderate amounts of lemon juice. Garnish with dill for freshness.
